30 A Day

30-A-Day promotes independent reading among reluctant or underperforming elementary students. Third through fifth-grade students read from a designated book each session and then explore it together in a unique book club format. The goal is for students to build reading stamina, fluency, comprehension, and enjoyment. Through surveys and facilitator observations, in the 2022-2023 school year there was an increase in reading stamina, comprehension, and enjoyment.
