Ready 2 Read / Wise Words

Ready 2 Read, a collaborative effort between Better Basics and Rotaract,  and Wise Words, a similar program, strive to inspire second-grade students to read for pleasure.  By developing a daily habit of reading, students gain skills that will help them succeed in school.  This program awards incentive prizes to students for reaching reading milestones.  Volunteers visit the classroom twice per month to read to students and award the earned prizes.
