This Valentine’s Day weekend, Better Basics offers a better way to celebrate the holiday with a unique event that also gives back to the community. At the 3rd Annual Love for Literacy event, attendees will enjoy dinner, drinks, and dancing with the backdrop of Birmingham’s skyline. Be a part of the fun and buy your tickets today!

Love for Literacy will take place on Saturday, February 11 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. in the Diamonds Direct Ballroom at Regions Field. Tickets are $75 per person and the attire is cocktail. In addition to live entertainment from Nationwide Coverage, attendees will also enjoy a silent auction and a dessert auction. Avani Rupa Fine Jewelers will offer a chance to win one of their signature diamond rings in a unique jewelry giveaway. Better Basics will also recognize the 2017 John Glasser Award recipient for outstanding contributions to the agency. Eunice Elliott from WVTM-13 will be the host for the night.

Proceeds from the event will have a direct impact on at-risk children across Alabama. In 2016, Better Basics programming reached more than 26,000 students and awarded over 92,000 books through ten intervention and enrichment programs.
